Payroll Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and manage full-cycle payroll operations for a multi-state workforce of over 500 employees. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with applicable regulations, and leading payroll staff and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage payroll operations, including oversight of payroll systems and staff
- Process bi-monthly, multi-state payroll for 500+ employees
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
- Administer garnishments, deductions, and benefit-related payroll items
- Prepare and reconcile 401(k) and ROTH contribution reports
- Generate and analyze reports related to overtime, commissions, and staffing
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation
- Train and support managers on payroll-related processes and best practices
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Partner with HR and Accounting teams to ensure accuracy and alignment
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll experience (multi-state experience preferred)
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Strong communication skills
- Exposure to HR processes is a plus
- Solid working knowledge of payroll systems; deep technical expertise not required

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000
